Default question bout a Auto trans

Hey guys im new here I have a 98 ws6 with an auto trans. My car is basicly stock i have a 3000 converter, exhasut minus headers, underdrive pulley, cutout, grantelli massairflow sensor, lid with k/n,hypertech and i think thats it no major mods. My question is how much can a stock auto trans take. Lets say spraying a 50-75 shot my car has 73,000 miles on it id like to spary my car this spring with a very small shot. Im worried about blowing up the trans or even my motor im sure ill need headers if i spray anything into it. My other concern is more wear and tear on the converter ive had no probs at all with it and its been in the car about 5,000 miles now. Theirs no hurry since i wont drive the car for atleast a month.
thanks guys for all your help

Im not to sure on running a programer on that thing, i know that alot of them increase the timing.... i would at least put a shift kit in that thing, my buddy runs a 4L60E with a 200 shot in his s-10 it went 11.2 last year with a transgo shift kit and corvette servo and his was just starting to slip....my $0.02

Hey thanks for the reply I dont have a shift kit i forgot to mention i do have a trans cooler though ofcourse with the converter. I did not install the hypertech im not quite sure if the hypertech ups the timing though.I'm going to look into it and hook it up this spring and see what he did he told me all he did was up the rev limiter a tiny bit and get rid of the top speed limiter so im not positive if he did anything else. Id like to spray a 50shot and really no more possibly a 75 shot at the most. i think my motor can handle it even with the miles it has really good oil pressure but who really knows. I know people spray with more miles then I have but almost everyone runs a 6speed. o well ill see what happens
thanks for the reply and hopfully more to come

thanks guys

I'm not quite sure id like to say i would go with a wet kit im still doing a ton of reading in here about the + - of each kit so im not really sure witch is better but i would say it will be a wet kit witch i would have speed inc install and tune. Do you think ill need headers im sure i will as im on stock headers and ls1 intake manifold witch if i get headers ill have to get non egr so i can upgrade to the ls6 intake
thanks for all the replys

u dont absolutely need headers. it would help a lot, but there are plenty of ppl spraying on stock ones. my buddy sprays 100 shot dry on his 00 ss with stock ls1 intake and stock headers.

I didnt think i would need headers but I will eventully my main concern is just my trans will the amount of miles on it. I would only spray the car from a 2nd gear roll since I dont want to snap the rear end or the trans since i do know that the 4l60e is somewhat weak under power a guy I know has a 2000ss basicly stock but with a procharger d1. He has been throguh 3 trans but he also beats the living hell out of it witch I dont plan on doing so I think I might be ok lets hope so
thanks for the reply keep um coming
