Default Dual stage dry hit...how many nozzles?

Well, I'm close to wrapping up my long block and it's time to get a head start on my nitrous set up. I plan on going with a 250whp dual stage dry hit...maybe step up to 300-325whp on down the road, depends on how frisky I feel

Anywho...my question concerns the nozzles. I can't decide on two or four. They'll be going in the neck of my lid, pointed directly at the MAF (descreened, of course) just wondering if it would make a difference if each hit is spread between two nozzles or concentrated in one. Logically it would seem that four would be better due to more dispersion, but you also want it somewhat concentrated so the MAF gets a good reading, right? I'm sure plenty of you have some exprience to share.

Thanks!

What electronic management method are you going with? Is this going to be a soley devoted N20 car? Aftermarket/factory pcm? Street/strip? Strip only? What tuning solution are you going with? ET, 60', goals?

I went with the Quad nozzles. Much more tuning options, and/or jetting options, and works better than good. here's the pic, one 90* and 3 straight shooters. Runs 11.5:1 on stg 1, then when stage 2 comes on it goes into a safer 10.8:1 area.
You could reach your goals with dual nozzles, just not as much leaway for tuning a/f and hp.

Doc, I'm using the stock PCM with HP Tuners. This car will see little track use since Gainsville always winds up as a 4 hour round trip with maybe 3 or 4 passes to show for it.

Robert, thanks. That's precisely what I had in mind.

braap....are you going to program the timing retard into the PCM for the dry nitrous? That would be the way to go.

If your using a standard F body intake lid would be 4 nozzles. That will dcrease the likelyhood of any issue. But you could do it in 2 nozzles...or even one if you wanted to hide it. Just be sure your Af is good as each stage hits.

Jeremy's handling all of the tuning, but I'm sure that's the method he'll use.

I've decided to run 4 nozzles...it makes sense. It sure would be a lot easier if the lid didn't have that damn parting line where the two halfs meet up. I'm trying to keep them all within a few inches of the MAF.

We had a -3 bulkhead into the lid on each side with no jets. Stock lines, with a NOS booster pump (inline) with 60lb injectors. Went 5.56@125 in the 1/8mile and made 760 to the tires. Stock PCM tunned buy RPM.
