tnt power ring problem

tnt power ring problem I'm installing my harris speed works wet kit using the tnt power ring and i got the power ring on my throttle body with some silicone grease but now it is to far towards the air box to get my maf and lid back on. When i position the maf the top half of it is inside the power ring so there is no way i can get it back far enough to get my rubber boot on. Anyone have any suggestions or would it be my lid which i thought was a mti carbon fiber is to long pushing everything back.

I decided to scrap the whole power ring thing and got a rubber boot on order from my local john deer dealer. It is a 3 1/2" x 3 1/4" reducing coupling with a thick wall to wedge my nozzles into. I got the ring for 20 bucks from a local guy and i don't see anyway how it will work with my lid and radiator shroud the way it is now. I should have took a picture to show my problem but i took it back off. I had about an inch to an inch and a half between the radiator shroud and my ring so their was no way to even fit the maf close to lining it up on the angle it needed without having the top 1" of the maf inside the ring itself. If i have time on monday i'll post a picture if i can get it back on.
I tried the search but couldn't find any pictures besides a corvette with the power ring on which those cars have loads of room to work with. If anyone has a picture or some idea to help with the problem i would really appreciate it.

I tried the different ferncos but couldn't find one that matched really well. The 4x3 seemed awful big on the throttle body and it seems like I need a 22.5 degree elbow. I can't wait to see what this reducing boot from my john deere dealer looks like on monday.
Another thing i was wondering about with using a fernco with two nozzles would i have a problem with the nozzles wanting to push thru the rubber? Since ferncos do not have the corded cloth weave inside the rubber itself. I'm hoping the deere boot will have a weave since it is used on their turbo parts.

just found out that i have the same problem as u. i just now tried to install my nitrous ring and 
my damn lid and maf are pressed right up against the ring kinda pissed right now cause i can't see a good way to fit this thing. i don't think i can trim enough of the lid because the damn iac sensor. oh well. someone chime in with some good pics of a resolution plz...

I was in the same boat guys. I couldnt seem to find a solution. I trimmed my lid and notched my radiator cover and trimmed my smooth bellow and still didnt fit right. Then it dawned on me. I went and got the 3x3 fernco. It will save you alot of time and headache. You have to trim it at an angle to get the right angle to fit everything and be on good and tight but it WILL work. I wish did this before i trimmed my lid and ****. But get the fernco and cut it to however short you need it and everything will fit I promise.

i'm sure there's a way with ALOT of trimming and relocating the iac but i just said screw it for now. it's warm out, taking the cover off the pool so i'm gonna

I got my boot from the deere dealer today and i think its going to work perfectly. For $27 its not the cheapest thing but it has a nice this sidewall and it reduces for a better fit. Another nice thing is it is very flexible even with a nice sidewall. I'll try to get up some pics and if anyone needs a part # i can get that too.
TNTs instructions will have you trim a little off the neck of the airlid. i think i cut off about .750" to get everything to fit. the hardest part for me was getting the ring itself onto the throttlebody.

I think this john deere boot will work much better then that ring. The ring just would not work and i don't see how tnt, a reputable company, could sell something that would be a bolt in and go part that doesn't work, but i guess this is the case. They should just market these rings for the corvettes because they have all kinds of room to work with, and in that situation it would work great.

The way i made my power ring work was to trim the air lid,and put the mass air directly in the lid,trimed the slp boot at a slight angle,tight but it works.If you need pictures let me know and i'll try to post some.-not all lid necks are the same length-mine is a wisper lid.
