Default 383 with spray couple questions

i have a 383 lt1 forged crank and hyperautic pistons, wondering what would be a safe shot of nitrous, also the place where i bought my built 4l60e said that there transmissions are for non nitrous applications, are they just saying that because there is a warranty? i dont understand why it would be like that.

oh yeah they also said non supercharged applications also.

any insight?

hyper pistons dont like a lot of use over 150hp, i am doing 100-125 to be safe with my 350 with hyper pistons. your auto tranny application is probably not for use with the rapid torque increase of nitrous, you can save both the pistons and your tranny if you use some sort of nitrous progressive controller, these range from $100-$600 for various options and quality. i am using a very good programmable one and it greatly helps distribute the torque increase. hope this helps

Its all in your tune-up. I've sprayed 250 on a set a bunch of times, and never had any issues. I eventually broke the rings from them expanding, though.
