Question largest shot on a plate system!!

what is everyone hitting with there plate system?

i just ordered mine, im hoping with my new motor i will only have to hit it with around 100 worth of spray to run my 9.50 class, but towards the end of the season im thinking bump it to 250 or 300 to try for that 8 second slip again.

i know alot of people have plates and think this or think that, but has anyone accually done this? how are the rear holes? lean?
any info would be great.
thanks

IMO and in my lsx experiance, the way the ls1,2,x ect intake flows anything that enters at the front of the intake is not going to be as safe as direct port do to the way air flow is.
#7 and 8 are going to be the leanest cylender do to the air smashing the back of the intake in turn flowing into the path of least resistance being the rear 2 openings in the intake.
now put fuel and nitrous into the mix, and it is going to do the same thing in turn running more into the rear holes.

thats where i think limitations will come in on a plate style kit.
they may flow 500 worth with no issues, but will it work correctly with the ls style intake.

anyone can say yes or no, who is accually doing it?

Brad, i'm hittin 300 off an NX maf kit which is pretty much just like a plate and having no problems so far for what it's worth. I gotta get it to lean out though, i'm seein like 9's a/f ratio after the 1/8th and it's killin me!

How many bottles through your motor, or how often do you spray?

was doing 200 through the NOS 90mm plate

was weird though, because of the sheetmetal intake, the FRONT cylinders were the leanest

if i could go 300 through a plate i would go with a setup like that over direct port, but i dont want to ram the back of the intake with the juice if it really distributes that bad

I really don't see how the distribution could be that bad, it's just an open plenum, but anytime i've ever burned a plug, it's always been #1 which is opposite of the theory it all goes to the back, unless all the fuel is going to the back?

i think the fuel is carried to the back by the nitrous, and the first couple cylinders dont recieve much.

hahaah. no, i never wanted to run 100% na. i want to go as fast as i can na, then spray it to 9.50 so i can run the class.
im just hoping i only need about 100 worth of spray to get it done.
if thats the case anothe 200 worth may net me my 8 second slip
