Is a blow down tube required if ... The search function is not currently working so I'm not sure if this question has been asked before. Is a blow down tube required at the drags if the bottle is mounted in the spare tire compartment? I know that NHRA regulations require the blow down tube if the bottle is in the passenger compartment, but I am not sure if the spare tire area is considered part of the passenger compartment. Thanks.

with a stricy interpretation of the rules ....yes you will need a blow down tube.
if there is not a sealed bulkhead in between the passenger compartment and the bottle you will need a blow down
the GTO's are also required to have one even if the bottle is in the trunk as the passenger compartment is not sealed off from the trunk
