How did you end up with 44 degrees of timing? Do you mean 24*? Don't even think about running timing of that degrees, keep it stock or a tad less, and you could run 92/93 octane, but nothing will save ya at 44*.

I think I was running 44 before n20 pcforless tune. Then I believe he pulled 5 degrees for 150 shot. At least spark advance shown by data master was 44 before and 39 now.

Default Timing

What you don't understand you will run fast with less timing. Nitrous make more HP & torque with less timing. About 4*-5* less for every 100 HP shot. It is also a good idea to use NX Nitrous octane booster as well. A lot of the octane boosters sold are crap & tune you plugs redish brown. Go down one plug heat range & gap at .35 also a colder thermostat is a plus. Always use a good adjustable bottle heater to stay at 1050 to 1100 psi before you purge leave at 1000 to 1050 psi. Don't try to run the bottle to low. A nice big nitrous canister filter is good insurance. Large hits below 3,000 could go boom. Two stage is easier on all the drive train & gets better traction netting faster time's using a delay timer with a 2.5 second delay for stage two. Fuel pressure gauge is a plus also a wide-band A/F
like (Innovate) run A/F at 11.5 to 11.8. The above will let you run lot's of bottles safe also you will run faster & more consistant. Don't do the above and you need to save up for all that will soon break.
I have been running nitrous for over 15 year with nothing blowing up on several auto & trucks. MSD has a nice new item called a Twister that pull's timing when you hit the nitrous & it's adjustable so you can run motor runs with your best tune & hit the nitrous & it pulls timing for you, LOL

Just got email from Bryan from 36 to 31. Would it be worth adding enough octane to gain the 5 degrees back?

My roommate has been tunning LT1s with LT1edit for along time. He said that when he tunes them, no matter what the setup it doesn't get over 39 degrees. He said that the computer adds 1-3 degrees sometimes so he puts the timing allowed at 36 usually so it can't go any higher. My rule is 2 degrees per 50hp. I would run atleast 104.

Why would you want 44 degrees, thats pointless?
