Default Testing solenoids - quick question

Hi, I'm helping a friend part out some stuff and I wanted to test some old N20 and Fuel noids before they are sold.

If I ground one wire, and hook the other up to the battery I will hear them click open, correct? Is it safe to apply power without a relay? Is there some quicker way of testing them?

Yup, that's a fine way to test them. No need for a relay for that. Main reason for a relay is to protect the low current activation switch from the high current draw of the noids.

Question about that - I have the Zex kit which looks like has some pretty heavy duty switches but no relay. Since this is my second kit (second car) this time I also bought the C5 switch panel from dynotune. Do I need a relay for that panel as the switches don't look as "industrail strength" so to speak?
