Default Just got a 64# cylinder, want some input.

I decided it would be cheaper than getting raped at the only place in town that fills bottles for 5.50 per #, I'm paying 3.07 per# this way. I was told that I need to get a ball valve to help shut off the flow faster and its supposed to make measuring more accurate. I already have a good scale but welcome any and all advice I can get. I need to know what threads are on the bottle valve so I can buy all the right stuff to install a quicker valve downstream from the main valve. I plan on using a 4' 4AN hose to fill my bottles. I dont have a pump but the place Ive gotten my nitrous from didnt use a pump either, just an Ice maker and get the bottle good and cold. TIA

OK, it's a 3/4" NPT thread. Now all I have to do is buy an extra bottle nut adapter and a 4AN line and I think I'll be set. I hope

it was the same bottle nut adapter as my NOS bottle. i leave my 10lber in the freezer for 2 hours and then go to fill, it'll suck the nitrous out of the big bottle.
i tried shorter amounts of time in the freezer but sometimes i couldn't get at least 9lbs which causes wasted nitrous in the fill line since i had to take it off, rechill the bottle, and try to fill some more til i got at least 9lbs.

i'd suggest getting a short fill line maybe 3' long. you'll probably have to stand the small bottle on something but it's better than wasting nitrous everytime you disconnect the line. i have a 6' line and it makes me sad everytime i have to disconnect the fill line.
