Default Fuel pressure saftey switch

I was just wondering if it is common for a fuel pressure safety switch to be sent to you out of adjustment. I am having problems with my kit activating and i put my multi meter on it and took it for a drive and it seems to be right on the edge as it will break continuity while driving and come back, then lose it. I have a walbro fuel pump so i cant imagine the pump is dying. Also i am having the worst time of my life trying to get my fuel fittings to stop seeping, no matter what i do it leaks on the pipe fitting going into the fuel solenoid. Any suggestions? Thanks

Yep, often the FPSS needs adjustment. Clock wise rasies pressure, counter clock wise lowers pressure or set point.
Teflon paste on the pipe threads should do the trick, or lock tight for a instant seal.

Well i think the problem i have is that the gas has been eating away the Teflon paste. I have redone these fittings like 4 times now. The last time i let the Teflon sit for a day to dry up good and then hooked up the fuel line and now its leaking again after a day of driving. I have some lock tight i am going to have to try that. Thanks for the help i really appreciate it.
