I have a msd window switch(pill style). I want to turn my nitrous on as sson as I leave but the lowest pill that I have is 3000. What I was wondering is if I leave the pill out for the "on" and have the 5900 pill in the "off" will this activate the sytem and then turn off at 5900 or does both pills have to be in in order to work. im running a zex kit so it reads off of tps. I know that I can buy new pills but everyone is closed today and I need it to go to the track tomorrow.

 

I'm by no means a nitrous expert, but I'm pretty sure 3,000rpm is the minimum rpm you want before you spray. That's probably why the 30000 pill is the lowest you can find. I don't know the science behind it, but I'm pretty sure there's something in one of the stickies about it.

 

The pills are just resistors. You can wire in a pot to activate at what ever rpm, but going below 3000 is not a good idea (read: high cylinder pressures). I do have the pill rpm to resistor table somewhere. I forget why/what I was doing but figured it out. So, this means you can pop in what ever on/off rpms you want without buying the pill kits. I also, have a write on how to make a variable rheostat or potinometer (I know my spelling sucks).
