Default Purge problem...and maybe a nitrous problem... :(

Okay, here's the deal. I just had my nitrous set-up put in the car. When I try to purge it, no nitrous comes out...or so it seems. You can hear it, you just can't see it. There is still 4lbs of nitrous in the bottle, and I just held down the purge button for about 10 seconds. The purge line was cold with a little frost on the tip, but the whole time, I didn't see anything come out. I could just hear it. And yesterday, I went 11.40 on 100 shot. I switched to a 150 shot, and when I went to stage, nothing came out of the purge...just air. I then ran an 11.56 on a 150 shot?????? Whats going on with my juice???? Please help!!!!!

What was the bottle pressure? Sounds like you just need to refill the bottle.

Bottle pressure was 950-1000. There is still 4 lbs in the bottle.

The bottle is mounted on Nitro Daves back seat mount(betwen the seats). So yes, the bottle position is correct...Its an NX 10 lb bottle, with the NX sticker facing up, if that makes any difference.

Thats what I was thinking as well, being that I have an aluminum intake on the car. But tonight, I did a little trouble shooting. The car has been in the garage all day, and hasn't even been started. The temp outside is now about 80*. I unhooked the line coming out of the purge and had my girl purge it out. Nothing. I could hear it, but still couldn't see it, even with it coming right out of the noid with the car not generating any other heat. This is getting irritating.

You need to refill the bottle. Once the bottle gets < half full you the siphon tube may not be getting completely in the liquid especially while accelerating.
Also the white plume of nitrous you see is pretty dependent on the weather conditions; humidity, temperature, etc..
Are you spraying the car out of the hole? If not that will make your time inconsistent and upping the gets will not make as much of a difference as one might expect since a big part of 1/4 mile is in the 1st 60'.

So your saying that even though I've got a 10 lb bottle, its really only good for about 5 lbs? Thats about 4 passes.

I am spraying out of the hole. There is an FJO controller in the car, but its set at 100% all the way down since its only 100-150 shot.

You can't run the bottle dry. Yeah, about 5lbs is it.

Hey Ken I am new to the wet setup but when I had a dry setup I could pretty much run my bottle near empty.
