Default MSD Dig. Window switch

Soo umm yeah I have my N20 hooked up to a MSD Dig. Window switch and when the car's running, It reads 1,800 at idle, and I know that's wrong. tach reads 800-1k. well my question is how should the switch be set up? I was told it needs to be on the 4cyl function, and whatever RPM on and off i so choose, just thought the 4cyl mode was a lil funny..help would be appreciated...

Thanks

You heard right...

Set the WS to 4 cylinder mode and see if that solves the problem.

4 cylinder mode is correct.

4cyl mode will cut the RPM the box is seeing in half...which would put idle ~900rpm
