Default Head help with big spray!?

Hello all,
I need a bit of info from you all, I am putting together a 383 LS1 that is going to see a big hit of spray in the 200 -300 range and I would like to know if you think the Dart 225's have enough deck thickness to keep from losing head gaskets. The engine will make somewhere around 550-600 on motor also. I am going to use cometic gaskets unless you all say otherwise and ARP studs. Any extra info will be appreciated, oh and it is going to be carbureted and in a heavy car like 4000lbs if that makes a diffrence.
Thanks!
Bryan.

I really need to know if I need these darts for the deck thickness, I don't want to spend the extra money if its not needed as I already have some patriots and if theyare good then I will just run them, I hope you guys can help here as this car is going on Pinks and I need reliability!!! LOL!!

thanks
-Bryan

The after market castings do help with holding the heads down.

Sounds like a good set up to me, go for it.

So you think that I should use them or you think I can get away with the patriots?

If your going to spray a 300 shot on it I'd say go with the darts.

So you think it will be cool with the hit off the line assuming I can hook it or do you think I should stage it for head lifting reasons, remember I can't take any chances!

-thanks

I would also like to know if using a progressive controller will help with the head lifting issues. SUbscribing

That is also another question I would have, as I have access to one, I am curious if any have tried them and can you run it at a total of less than 100% for the full length of the track to "sandbag" if one wanted to?
Any input on this and the cam question would help immensely, I need to order parts now if I am going to get this thing together for the show coming up in a few months. Thanks.

Cam specs roughly 246/254 600 lift on a 113

2 stages work alot better than 1 big one in most cases its safer for the motor and will hook more consistantly.

Progressors are hard on selinoids , if your going to use one I would rebuild them often.

We like to use RPM controlers instead.
