Default anyone spraying a big shot on a l92 setup?

Hey guys, i am wondering what the biggest shot anyone has sprayed with a set of l92 heads? A buddie of mine is going 408 w/ those heads and wants to spray a 300 shot. I told him i thought he would be better off with either the AFR's,TFS or the ETP heads. I think keeping head gaskets on the l92 stuff with that big of a shot will be tuff. what do you guys think?

Im anxious to know also, mods in sig. I will be dynoing my setup tomorrow with a 250 shot, 1 stage through a tnt f1. I just hope i don't blow the head gaskets out of it. My buddy sprays his 408 with 300 through 2 stages with modified dart 225s no problem. Although when he first fired up his car this winter and dynoed it with very few miles on the motor, he blew one of the head gaskets out spraying 300. We think that it was just because it didn't go through many heat cycles. Now he sprays it with no issues. Were both running cometics. I will post my results sometime this week, I'm hoping for 700+ at the wheels.

I'm sure that spraying through the higher volume heads and intakes will yield some excellent results! The way I look at it...GM is making what we've been saying and doing for several years more affordable for the entry level enthusiast and giving everyone more choices!! I look forward to seeing the results as well.

Early reports seem to indicate sealing problems as suggested; however, I think the jury is still out on this. Let's find out, keep us updated, though problems may not show right away.

He priced the complete motor from TSP and this is one of the cheapest ways to go but i almost want to talk him into a different set of heads and just keeping his ls6 intake , ect. I hate to see him spend all this money and have problems with it blowing head gaskets. I guess we'll see. I will keep everyone posted if he goes with the l92 setup. thanks guys

what about o-ringing. i havent heard of people using them as frequently as on sbf's or sbc's. is there a reason for this?
