Lightbulb Bottle install

I'm close to starting my installation and I'm trying to figure out the best way to install my bottle. You can see from the pic that it's intended to look as good as I hope it works, but the installation location is problematic to say the least. As I expected, I don't see any way to install the bottle with bolts as is without removing the gas tank to gain access under the car. My other idea is to fabricate a plate with preinstalled bots and weld it in place. Then I set the bracket on top of the plate and install the nuts. Anyone have a better idea?

Wheelhouse Auto Designs, Sachse Tx. These were personal friends of mine. May cost you a tad more.

Nice try, but nope. The panel the bottle is sitting on is part of the car body. I was wondering the same thing so I lifted the carpet to check.

Found it on ebay, but there are some on-line stores that carry it as well. I think the going price was about $100.

i removed my tank yesterday to install the holley fuel pump as i'll be going on gas soon as well, with the tank in you have humps under the carpet which are double walled, they have two layers, then dips are mostly single walled, trust me, i cut a big hole in the place over my fuel tank to finally change the pump, but anyway, i'd suggest rivetting a piece of aluminum or a fix a piece of thin wood under the carpet to hold the bottle in place, just my thoughts....

I could and that may be plan B but I'd rather have it in the back.

That is not NHRA or IHRA legal. If you ever decide to go to a track, it will not pass tech. You must use a bolt, nuts and washers. In an accident, and self-taps only, the bottle will come off and hit someone upside the head

I just pulled the carpet back and welded four bolts to the floorboard head first. Then I used a razor blade to make a small X in the carpet where each bolt came through then bolted the base of the mount to the bolts. I use a 15 pound bottle on the same mount you have and it hasn't given me any problems on the strip or on the street and it's been in the car for five years now.

Good looking install. Thanks for the input. I think this is going to be the way to go.
