Nitrous Flow Problems At the Track
I've got a Zex box, Zex lines, 125 wet shot. 660 valve on the bottle mated with an Edelbrock in-line "arming valve" (a.k.a. a solenoid). It can't be the window switch because fuel was definitely coming in. I had the pressure usually around 900-1000 (either my wiring, the relay, or the pressure switch went bad with the heater so I was manually giving it power). I'd get everything ready, purge a little before I pulled into line (I don't have the switch hooked up yet and I don't have a fire jacket so I didn't want them knowing I was spraying) then end up sitting there for a few minutes before pulling up. Usually launch fine, spray through 1st, maybe second. Then, somewhere after that it would just die. My bottle pressure would drop down to as low as 100psi and the car bogged. If I stayed on it sometimes it would bog then take off, bog, then take off, etc. I was told during one launch I was spewing black smoke (fuel).
So...I have no idea. Could the heat from sitting there waiting be messing with the lines? They are, after all, run across the firewall. My bottle was full and facing the proper direction. Everything appeared ok until halfway down or so. Tried one more time once I got home and it worked great and has since.
Appreciate any input. I'm at a loss for what it could be.
