Default New to nitrous, here is my idea

I have a 1998 Camaro Z28 with a Fast 90/90, headers, and TSP true duals

I am thinkin about doing that zex kit that hooks up to the fast 90/90 and doing a 200 shot, I know that is a little much, but the engine should handle it.

I want to do a standalone fuel system in the back with a lil bit of 112 octane so instead of pulling from my stock fuel system, it pulls from the stand alone, kinda eliminating the detonation factor, I think.

Here is my concern:

I dont know how to pull timing, and I heard you HAVE to pull timing when running NOS

ALSO

I heard that number 7 cylander is suposably the leanest cylander when running NOS, but does that only apply to wet/dry shots into the intake? not direct port?

Supporting mods for the nos are.. well.. MSD coils. haha. The internals are stock.

Tips and tricks? Suggestions about this set up?

if you are using 112 (why 112 specifically?) you won't/shouldn't need to pull timing.

if you're going direct port I don't think you need to worry about lean cylinders.

plugs. plluuuuggs.

why put the fuel system in the back? why not just get a holley blue pump, 1 gal fuel cell and relocate the battery?

112 is just a number that came to mind, maybe higher, idk... lol
great news on the direct port part, that makes me happy.

What kinda plugs will I need to run?

And as for putting the system in the back here is my reasoning:

I have no reasoning. Can you give me a link to that product you are talkin about? That seems like a GREAT idea, this is just an idea I threw up in my head... Id much rather have a 1 gal cell right there.

How long would 1 gal last? 6 miles?

Run the NGK TR-6 plugs, maybe even the TR-7's if you're doing 200 shot. gap them at .035.

For the stand alone, you can go with a HSW setup like this...http://www.harrisspeedworks.com/shop...age=1&featured

or build you're own with some less expensive stuff you can get from jegs or summit.

With you wanting to run a DP setup then you won't have to worry about having a specific lean cylinder cause you will be able to tune it out with a jet change. You can use 112 in the standalone without any problems we tend to use C16 in our dedicateds ( What i run in my personal dedicated ). Even with c16 or 112 octane depending on what your timing is you will need to take some timing out of the car. The rule for a 150hp shot is to take out newhere from 4-6* of timing ( Sometimes you dont have to retard the timing at all with the 150hp shot ). With the 200 hp shot I would take newhere from 6-10* of timing out of the car as a starting point. It's better to take out too much timing and put it back in than to tart off with not enough timing taken out and hurt something. As far as plugs you can possibly get away with NGK TR6's but you will probably have to go with
Nitrous (two steps colder) <--- 200-250hp
Heat Range: 7
Gap: Consult
Plug: NGK BR7EF (stock number 3346); NGK TR7IX (stock number 3690); Autolite AR94; Denso IT22 (stock number 5327)

We offer several different styles of dedicated systems. IF you aren't wanting to relocate your battery we have a dedicated that fits near the fuse area in the engine compartement.
