Default Standalone Systems..

Help me out here guys. Im trying to make my own standalone kit because no offense, but I think that 6-700$ for one is a little ridiculous. Im thinking about a 1 gallon Aluminum cell, Aeromotive FPR, and Wallbro 255lph pump. My only thing is, I dont know how the wallbro gets mounted inside the cell. Anyone know?

I know this is old but I built mine, It's really easy. Just weld in a bracket with a lip for the bottom of the pump to sit on and use a big zip tie to hold it onto the bracket. It sounds crude but it's simple and it works.

actucally the money is well spent. Take all your time, thinking, calling and search forums, then add all the parts up and what the final product looks like and then you will see the funds involved.

Now I am not bagging anyone who wants to build stuff their own, just to do it, or anything like that.

But the money companies are asking for is not bad.

later.

1. Buy a fuel cell with the foam inside and pull the foam out.

2. Cut a small hole in the center of the foam.

3. Put on the fuel sock and put the pump inside of the fuel cell.

4. Slip the foam back in and stuff the foam over the fuel pump as you reinsert it.

That will hold it and also give it a little vibration dampening.

Also make sure that you have a fuel sock or fuel filter before the pump and fuel filter after the pump get a fine filtering one like 10 micron.

Personally, I don't consider them to be priced that bad
