Default Plate Questions..

Ok.. I've never thought about a wet system before because IMO, it'd be more prone to bacfire because of spraying raw fuel into the intake. But I'm being drawn in yet again by nitrous, and now the plate system. I was about to buy a dry kit last year, but I dismissed it when I got busted for street racing and almost lost EVERYTHING because of it.

ANYWAY! How much of an issue is leaning of the front two clynders on a plate kit? -Due to the heavy weight of the fuel molecules (compared to the nitrous), and it makes it a little more difficult for the fuel to reach the front two clyinders.

I understand that the plate system is designed to spray a VERY fine mist of fuel. -Going back to my first question. ... .. How does this kit compare to the typical aft-MAF wet kits, (performance wise)??

Thanx for the help. Nitro Dave is also running his monthlly specials again..

Leaning the front cylinders is not an issue with our plates....our plate is designed so that the discharge is perpindicular to the airflow...this allow the natural induction to pull the mixture in. Performance wise you should see similar hp gains between a nozzle and a plate. BUt a plate will give you a much cleaner install, and due to having multiple distribution points rather than one, will provide a "finer mist" or atomization which will help with distribution.

here is a link to a flow test of our plate...

During the R&D phase of our plates we found that if the discharge was aimed at the back of the intake it was overpowering the back cylinder and overshooting the front....the overall A/F would be OK, but could damage the engine due to distribution issues. This would be similar to spraying a 200 shot on the back but a 50 shot on the front.
