Please don't laugh...quad nozzle setup...

I bought this kit for 350 dollars brand new off craigslist, and figured i could get it to work, its a direct port kit for a 4 cylinder, so i stuck 4 nozzles into the bellow and it seems to be working pretty well, spraying 100shot right now, running a bit rich because i only had feul jets for 150, but id rather run it rich than lean. current mods are as follow
pacesetter uncoated LT
ngk tr6
ram powergrip hd
slp lid, k&n filter

Please dont make fun of me too much

LOL...I guess whatever works

Actually you should probably eliminate two of those. Youll get a quicker response and probably less lean spike.

scottHMT Sep 14, 2007 08:58 PM

Why eliminate two?because of the time it takes for the feul to get from the feul solenoid to the nozzle? Whereas the nitrous has 1000psi pressure and gets to all 4 solenoids relatively quickly?

I've seen alot worse. Is it hardlined?

RamAir02TA77 Sep 14, 2007 09:39 PM

Wow thats pretty cool atleast it works. Im sure it will flow alot of hp to.

scottHMT Sep 14, 2007 09:47 PM

all lines are hadlined except for that one, i didnt have a line long enough to reach, so i used a braided line. It works suprisingly well. What i was going for was more even spray pattern vs dual or single nozzle. HOPING that i may not lean out a cylinder if i have even dispersement like a plate kit.

lol that's awsome

I agree it is weird, but pretty cool at the same time. Definetly not bad for $350.

scottHMT Sep 14, 2007 10:24 PM

Also came with 15lb bottle with high flow valve.

Robert56 Sep 15, 2007 12:04 AM

Wow, I thought I was unique with my quad dry nozzles, very cool. The volume of fuel needed to fill all the lines could give ya a lean spike worse than normal, that's what I believe Al was getting at.

wow, thats a lot of spray lol

RamAir02TA77 Sep 15, 2007 09:45 AM

That might work nice with a standalone system as you can have the system primed and get like no lean spike.

scottHMT Sep 15, 2007 04:07 PM

Im aiming to get it tuned soon so i can turn up the jets to 150shot. Just need a feul pump and im set to go.

On a side note. Nitrous ls1 > pulley exhaust terminator

scottHMT Sep 15, 2007 04:21 PM

Would it be better if i ran 4 nitrous nozzles jetted for 25 and 2 feul jetted for 50?

chad rock Sep 16, 2007 08:33 PM

I love the idea with a stand alone but your problem is 58psi with 4 seperate nozzles is going to be extremely rich .If you look up jets for 25 hp nos single nozzle for 58 psi(holleys web site) then do that 4 times you have alot more fuel than nos ,it just doesn work that way.If you want to make the hp that the 4 nozzles total you will probably have to drop the fuel side in each nozzle 2 to 3 jet sizes.I wouldn do this without a wideband. When you stack kits which is basically what your doing they usuall go pig rich.I know this because I have more than one nozzle. hope this helps

chad rock Sep 16, 2007 08:35 PM

If you can get the tune rite 11.5 to 12.0 I think you will have great sucess with the 4 nozzles

The math for converting single nozzle to dual nozzle jetting is in the lead post (IIRC) of the jetting sticky. It's not half size like one would think. If ya can't find it let me know and I'll post it.

Oh really? I figured if .14 and .26 was ~ 25hp/shot then x4 would equal 100 shot? I think i'll be investing in a wideband soon. It does have a extremely noticable hesistation when the nitrous hits.
