Default track results for the big motor dry kit (VIDEO)

I short shifted big time.

Log showed 6750 and I normally shift at 8200...LOL

5.56@127 with a 1.34 60ft with a .3 delay on 325/50 radials

Video should be up tomorrow.

No sound sucks. That is the best part. You can see it is on the safe side alittle. That is not tire spin but some fuel instead. Has alittle rich spike.....but after the delay the hose came on with 300 and rode the bars for about 20ft. Next time out I am going to pull the travel limiters in some and try somemore. I don't want to use the bars at all....cause when the second stage of 300 comes on it might need the bars then. LOL

That pass was with a .110 pill which would be an open solinoid. (Solenoid is rated at 350) LOL.....Makes 275 to the tires. Well it makes 567rwhp on motor and 844 on the hose so whatever that is. I plan on makeing the second stage the same thing. So a total of 550 to the tires. I need to make 1050rwhp+ to run the number I want to. When we pulled the plugs out they looked fantastic. Little on the rich side but nothing bad. EGTs were all under 1200 degrees and James (tunner) got them within 15 degrees of each other which is unheard of. Either way, I am in no way scared of adding another 300 worth of bottle. With the tires shaking I know now that the DRs can take it. I am going to try and have a .1 delay for the 1st stage and a .8 delay on the second stage with the limiters tight so it might get on them with the second stage but not hard enough to unload the tires. All 5-600 should be on before the 60ft so it should really get it.

Car has a narrowed Billingsley fab 9in and a Rossler deadenbear glide with a Neil Chance converter that is to tight. All Wolfe and Madman suspension with QA1s....All of which is very good, hard to break parts. I am hoping it all holds up the abuse atleast till after the LSX shootout.

Man...you have it going on for sure.

I think dry is the ****. Especially how you have it setup.

Just making a pass without short shifting it should pick up alot.

Cant wait to see more progress.

You need to show those forced induction guys in the drag radial class what a real nitrous car can do! I can't wait to see what it does with the second stage.

Setup: Do you have any pics of the new dry setup? How is it setup nozzle wise? I remember reading about you grinding on the nozzles a while ago, but don't remember all of it.

On the tire shake: Do you have rim screws? I've heard they help quite a bit with the tire shake.

We did it with the black car and a stock 98 pcm........5.56@125 with a 1.29 60ft on the same size radials (car weighed 29xxlbs) Remember this car (RIP) The MPH is wrong in the video it only went 125. I miss this car it was a beast to drive.Click here to see Video

You should talk to RPM about that. They are working on a little something, something that makes the stock pcm work like a champ after the maf is maxed out. (Maybe like a second stage)I don't want to give away any secrets they have been working on but they might help you out. I know it some trickery....that I havn't seen done with a stock pcm.....

Robert56's way works well with a stock pcm also, but this is a different way of doing it.

I have lots of screws in each wheel. I just didn't have enough pressure in the tires. It is very hard to get over the pressure these tires like to run vs the slicks I used to have on the car. I have been a 1.27 60ft on 28in slicks but that was with 12psi and the rear shocks set on 10. The M/T guys, at the Vegas race, told me the record for the 325/50 is 1.19 60ft so far and the 315/60 is 1.20.....

There is no nozzle....It is a -6 line ran to a noid with a -4 line out of the noid to a -4 bulkhead fitting that was ground flat to except a jet...I also had to drill the center of the fitting out for the jet to slide in and then the -4 line tightens up on it......We started out with.031 pill and it made 75 to the tires, then we bumped it up to a .077 pill and it made 200 to the tires.....At that point we knew it was ok, from all the logging (EGTs and Wideband), to push it, so I put the biggest pill I had in it so it would max out the noid which happen to be a .110 pill which is good to well over 450 worth of bottle so we knew the noid was maxed out at that point. This all takes place about 2.5ft in front of the TB in a 4in diameter aluminum tube that I built the goes into the front bumper.....The nitrous can't get into the motor as fast as the injectors can get fuel in there so it has a bit of a rich spike but that is better then most peoples problems of lean spikes. LOL
