Hey guys,
I'm about to install my plate kit and all that fun stuff from Nitro Dave and I'm looking to tap the fuel line where the hard line at the fender meets the AN fittings to my fuel rails.
I'm planning to use an Earls (EAR-926106ERL) tee fitting which has a bottom connection of a -6 female swivel to tie into the hard line to AN connector at the fender, a side -6 male connector to connect a dual 1/8" gauge connector with a -6 female to -4 connector so I can wire up my FPSS and fuel pressure gauge fitting out of sight and then run my fuel line to solenoid around the back of the motor, and then a regular -6 male end to tie into the existing connectors which lead to the fuel rails.
My plan is the have all connections (FPSS, pressure gauge and noid fuel supply line) out of plain view and mainly to avoid tapping at the rail and having that line looking shitty sitting out in plain view of...everything.
I understand this is going above and beyond the norm and I'll probably get ragged on for doing it but I think it will look a hell of a lot cleaner and only cost me about $50.00 for the fittings and then probably around $30.00 for the fuel noid supply line to tie into the new tee fitting and go around the back of the intake/ motor to the pass. cylinder head where Dave's noid mounting plate will be waiting.
If you can mentally visualize it, you will see no gauge/FPSS wires or hook ups as well as no in your face fuel supply line off of the driver's side rail like everyone else. The passenger side will have two braided stainless lines (one fuel, one nitrous) running parallel from the back of the motor to the noid plate.
Also a side note, the car is basically a show and go weekend/track car that hardly ever sees rain so this is the main reason for trying for the cleanest set-up possible.
All lines from the solenoids to the plate kit will be hard lined. All fittings including hard lined noid to plate fittings, main feed fittings, noids themselves (NX Light.), nitrous plate, head plate noid mount, fuel rails...it's all black.
What do you guys think? Either way, I'm doing it. I just wanted to see what people thought. By this, I mean, will it create problems of any kind?
As usual, thank for entertaining my crazy ideas.
