Default Two (2) Nitrous bottles ?

what would it take to mount 2 nitrous bottle aboeve the gas tank on an f body. aka behind the back seats at like an angle? how does that work? say with like a 150 shot, i would want this b/c it doesnt look as tacky as between the seats or hidden in the spare tire. and it looks badass.

does any one have pics of this? or mounted in any different spots in the car?

pleasee posT!

I'm either putting a single bottle in between the rear seats, or two bottles up there where you're talking about. I've seen a few pictures of bottles mounted up there, and of course it looks cool Now I've got til next year to decide since I won't be spraying this year now.

You wouldn't really need anything special to run two bottles. Just get a -4AN tee fitting, and run one line from each bottle to the Tee, and then one line up front. If you're going with a larger shot, running 6AN lines might help prevent pressure loss in the lines.

Any particular reason for wanting 2 bottles for a 150 shot? It would look badass mounted up there with them angled towards each other. You'll probably have to drop the tank to install the bottle mounts.

Or you could slit the carpet back there and put a sheet of 3/8" plywood under the carpet and have screws coming up from the bottom of that into the bottle brackets with nuts on top. It'll work fine

That does look awesome, but you run a much larger total shot than 150. You would be swapping a single 10 out damn near every run. I am going to a similar setup running twin 10's when I start spraying 250-275.

It's not just hit size, but rather hit consistancy. You'll have much less bottle pressure drop per run, the bigger the volume, and that means more consistant runs. Also, pressure drop affects a wet hits a/f, but not a dry. Alltough, 2 tens are much better than a single ten. The only draw back in the 15s is the weight factor, but nothing a 5 dollar jet can't compansate for.

Now that you mention it, I am def going with twin 10's. I have been having a problem with the car falling on it's face on a 200 shot on the top end. The only explanation would be a loss of bottle pressure. If I remember right it ended up at about 800psi after the run. Do you think twin 10's could keep up with 6an line on a dual stage 225-250?
