Default Super Hi Flow Nitrous Valve question

There's a port on the valve where you can install a pressure gauge but I wanted to know if with a full bottle and the valve closed is there any pressure at that port? I have a gauge I want to install but I have a full bottle right now so I was hoping I could install it before I go to the track tomorrow. I'm installing a bottle heater with I pressure switch and I want to be able to adjust the pressure switch so I have the right pressure since it's getting cooler outside now. Thanks for any help.

typically those ports are ALWAYS under pressure regardless of the valve being opened or closed.

If you have a second bottle you can get most of what in your bottle out using the freeze method

if you dont have a second bottle...sounds like a good excuse to go have some fun...lol.

I'm off to the track tomorrow so I guess I'll just put the gauge inline for now until I empty the bottle tomorrow. Hoping to crack a high 10 out of it. Thanks.

Yeah, he's right....I've had bottles from a couple different companies, where the gauges mounted in the nozzle, all were under pressure all the time. Quiet handy actually

Well I was having a problem with my car bogging when I went WOT off the launch which it has never done to me before so I think it may have just been because it was so cold (40 degrees) and the air quality was really high. The bog never totally went away so I know it was killing my 60 foot times since my best was a 1.88 but I still turned an 11.6 at 118 mph. My last run of the day I was on a good run and at about mid track the damn thing had a huge backfire and set the motor on fire . So after I put out the fire with an extinguisher we towed it over to my buddies place that's only a few miles from the track and cleaned off the chemicals from the extinguisher. There were a few things melted but I can't tell what caused it so after AAA tows it 60 miles back to my house today I'll probably just push it to the back of my shop and wait til winter to start taking it apart. At least it wasn't at the beginning of the season.
