Default Bottle location? Can it be done?

I was thinking of Mounting the bottle inside the car between the rear seats. Can it be done? I havent really look at how thick the metal is, but would I be able to drill through it? Just an idea that was pondering in my head here at work.

I also noticed this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2418638953

I think that would look pretty sharp between the back seats. Has anyone ever done this, or attempted to do it?

Havent really found any information on it. Most just go with the Spare tire location, but I'd prefer not to.

Any advice?

Tons have people have done it. Run a search over at LS1.com. I recommend that site only because I've seen tons of those pics there. I sure hope you don't plan on daily driving that way. I had a cop pull me over with my bottle sitting in the back seat. Lucky for me, he didn't see it.

I have a freind who has his bottle mounted on the transmission tunnel of his 01 TA and I honestly don't like how the bottle sets in the car. I don't like the angle that the bottle is when it is bolted down. With some modification to the brackets where it would have around a 30* angle on the bottle it would look better(IMO) but the bottle sits flat b/c of the way that the trans tunnel is made. I don't really know why I don't like it but I guess I'm weird.

To hide your bottle when it is mounted between the rear seats just cut the bottom out of a cheap gym bag and cover it up. Now when you get pulled over it won't be that obvious.
