Start with a smaller shot as the halo can be as finicky as nozzles with the a/f. This is the safest way to go about it, as you need to know if your getting a good cold/dense reading.

You should be fine, but your tune has to be dead on. Like PSJ said, pull some timing, run the correct octane, and you will be fine.

I also run the MS3 cam with some 5.3 heads. I am using one of our shops custom dual stage nitrous systems that will equal a 175 shot. It is the stock bottom end, so I felt that a dual system will ease the stress a bit more than that sized shot all at once.

BTW, not sure who is tuning your vehicle, but if you feel like driving south a few hours, we can help. We specialize in custom nitrous set ups and tunes. Just letting you know we are here if you need any assistance or have any questions.

GOOD LUCK!
Erik

Short shift it in 1st and 2nd gear, no need to rev the crap out of it with the juice.

Go for it. I sprayed a 150 shot 100's of times on a stock bottom end. Car ran 7.0 @ 101 in the eighth. I was running an index class. You might invest in a Timing Tuner. Thunder racing sells them. It 's a cool device that allows a time delay on N2O activation, timing retard, and hi rpm limit. MSD also sells them but you have to buy each function in its own device. I have the MSD window switch connected to my torque conveter lock up circuit. I wouldn't spray it between shifts!!

I Have A Digital Window Switch And I Will Pull Timeing And Add Fuel Thru The Tune

The Only Idea I Did Like With The Add On Boxes Is Set Up Your Tune To Be The N20 Tune And Then Use The Box To Add Back Timeing For When The N20 Is Off.. That Away If The Box Fails You Wont Blow **** Up

I didn't the Msd window switch controls at what rpm the conveter locks up in 3rd gear. It adds a couple of miles an hour and gives me some more time in (rpms) at the traps. I'm running 4.11s which is cutting it close with having to shift into OD.

JPR, if you want to run over and over again with a decent sized shot, come see us. We'll get you set up safely and efficiently.

Also, halon systems are pretty cool. Saw one on a FORD GT the other day (neat)

Good luck, John. Your car's already stronger than most similar setup's. Did you finally get it back from getting it caged? Cant' wait to see you run it at a well-prep'ed track. That size hit should put you really close to 9's. Dyno numbers are good, so, let's see what we can do at the track all-motor. When you wanna' race? Hey, I don't mind getting beat and I'll bet mine hold up pretty good against yours. In a couple weeks, I'll beditching the MAC's and going with all out racing headers, so, I should be pretty close to you.

I wish I had the money to do bigger cubes and a 100 shot, but, I had to sell off the nitorus kit with my kids in college and Chrsitmas coming up. Lemme' know when you get ready to hit the dry kit. I want video your first track run.

If ya set up your timing pull (for dry hits only) as per write up in the wet vs dry thread, it will only pull timing on the spray and you'll still have optimum timing n/a, done easily in the tune. The halo can be a little harder to get a/f correct with out using the tune, but nozzles can, for the most part, be set-up to not effect n/a a/f, and allow a good sprayed a/f, nozzle tuning also covered in the same thread. good luck
