Default Testing Solenoids

I just ended up buying a used kit, and before I install the kit on my car, I want to check the solenoids to ensure they are working properly. Anyone know a quick way of checking them before I hook and wire everything up in the car? Thanks.

You can hook them up to your battery and make sure they click open. Probably wouldn't hold them on for much longer than 8-10 seconds as I know they get hot quick!

Y would you run it that long? All you want to do is click them once or twice to make sure they engage.
