Default tapping for RPM/Tach input with a DT window switch. Need WS HELP

So after working with Dynotune we found that I had a faulty ws and they quickly resolved the issue (That customer service is amazing) Well my tuner tapped off the green w/white stripe wire from the harness between the pass. coil packs and fuel rails. Come to find out this wire sometimes leads to issues so it was recommended that I take off my pass tire and wheel well to get at my ECU and grab the #10 white wire. Does it make a difference or are they all the same?

When I connect the WS it reads 1.0.0. I realize this means the TPS is activated and both gear lockouts are off. However when I press the first button and hold it down it shows 0 and tells me it is not reading RPM's.

I took the car out with 900lb's in the bottle and needless to say it is not spraying at WOT. I figured it was because it is not reading RPM's. Whats your thoughts

Check the wiring sticky for correct wire in wheel well pcm, as they are a different color and number for early years. But, yes, that is a known good pick up and where I get mine.

Its a trip. It worked before and is now dead? I will try and grab the other connect. Is there a way to test to see if I am getting anything from the wire I am on. Will a Multimeter help?
