Default Nitrous and Trans

I got a 2000 Z28 with a lid and cutout. I was gonna get a 100 hp dry kit but the more I looked into it...the more I see people busting their trannies. Are just as many people busting trannies on 400hp with the spray as 400hp with just motor? Is nitrous harder on the trans?

my buddy has a 98 a4 with all the bolt ons and a cam with a 100 wet kit. his car made 440hp 495 tq on a conservative tune and we dont spray it thru the shifts and he has no problems.

ran 11.4's at 121 at full weight on drag radials.

I would have to say N2O is harder on the trans due to the Torque spike when sprayed. It is higher, or more violent at lower RPM's as well. Plus the fact that going from a stand still start and spraying it outts the hole you just went way past most cars would NA outta the hole. I have nailed bottles of 100 (wet though) and a couple at 150 after pump install, no problems here. K.O.W.

Good-luck.
