First Dyno run
First Dyno run - Update w/Photos I did my first dyno run today and was pleased with the results. I installed my first kit. Nitrous Express NXL kit w/180 pills and Maximizer II controller. Since I have not installed the timing tuner yet, I programmed the MX II to kick in at 10% and peak at 50% hit. This should be about a 90 hit. We did a stock run first for a baseline.
1st Run (Stock): Peak 328 HP 325 TQ Not graphed
2nd Run w/kit: Peak 332 HP 337 TQ Not sure why, but kit didn't activate.
3rd Run w/kit: Peak 407 HP 407 TQ.
The dyno graph died at 5500RPM for some reason, but the tech was watching and said the HP curve was still climbing up to the 6000RPM cut off that I programmed so I'm not certain what the real peak was but certainly in excess of 410.
Summary 82HP gain at 50% hit with no tuning
. I'm looking forward to getting the timing turner and new plugs installed so I can push it to 100%.
Big thanks to the folks at Lonestar Performance for staying late and letting me play. I've added some of my install photos. Not bad for a novice I think.
