edelbrock nitrous bottle

have an edelbrock nitrous bottle and saw that there is a plug in the side of the valve where a gauge would go. just to be sure there is only pressure there when the bottle is on right? im gonna get a gauge for it but i dont want to unthread the plug and have my $40 worth of nitrous come rushing out. anyone done this?

WAIT! The pressure gauge port shows pressure whether the bottle valve is open or not. So NO, don't take out that plug until your bottle is 100% empty.

Yup, there is pressure on that port at all times. You will need to wait until it is empty to put the guage in.

thats kinda what i figured. no its an 1/8th inch plug thats in the valve. not the burst valve. just wanted to check because i just filled it yesterday. alright thanx.
