Default Note to self "do not lose or misplace NOS stuff" Your wallet will suffer

Over the past year I have decided to do different things which caused me to spend plenty on fittings. ranging from $5-$30 each. Well today I had to call a shop becuase when I removed my plate system after the wreck I forgot to grab the little bracket from the alternator, 8 bolts, and four washers. $66 later they are being shipped I needed it and do not have time to piece this kit together at OSH so I had to take it in the shorts. So I tell you, when r/r is in place keep your **** together. This is all my fault, but could have easily been avoided.

In the end I realize there is a ton of R and D in these kits so profit needs to be made. This is not a bash for ANYONE just a realization of how much the small things cost. Most see a $300 kit and think they will have a perfect Nitrous kit. Think again

Exactly I hope the guys that post "I can really spray for $300" get a chance to read this. To answer the question yes you can. Is it logical for your car. NO.

I started with a $300 kit a few years ago. Now I'm putting a fogger kit on and decided to go with rails instead of distribution blocks. Well the 16 fittings I need for the rails are about $8(130) a piece at most places. I finally found a place to get them at $6 a piece but kept looking. Well it paid off I found them for $2 each.

I get most of my fittings from my work, that helps out ALOT. You should have seen the look on my face when I walked into the maintence building and discovered pretty much a whole wall of AN and NPT fittings.

I asked the manager if he cared that I took a few of them and he said to go ahead and get whatever I need, he told me that they hardly ever even use that stuff. I was in heaven.

I'm going to check out our maintenence department in the next 15 minutes. Those little fittings are expensive.

I bet you were.
I used to work at a company that built gas analyzers. they would use all stainless steel fittings on all connections. that **** was way expensive.

I work for the railroad so that was really the last thing that I expected to find there.

I thought I got a great deal on a NX maf kit for $500. Well that was about half the purchase price of the kit but with all of the extra B.S. that you need and should have, I'm still in it for about $1,000. But that still a bit cheaper than the $10k it would have cost me to go turbo.

I get all of the SS fittings and braided lines I need/want free, from one of our suppliers at work. My company spends at least ¾ million dollars a year with them, and I send most of the orders their way. They insist, every time I go to get a fitting for personal use, that it is free, who am I to argue, lol. Walked out of the vendors Friday with a bag full of fittings for my current DP setup, all SS.
