Default Paging Nitro Dave, LT1 nitrous ?

Dave,
I know you had a bad *** LT1 car, I met you a couple years back in NJ for SLP day. I work at wiseco piston, and I am leaving for the Air Force in 6 weeks. I am going to make a bad *** set of pistons before I leave but here is the ? Are 396 lt1's streetable? I will be running a gfx ring pakage (.048,.048,.1198) so I can squeeze a 6 inch rod in it. Would it just be easier and more streetable to build a standard 383? Please help me on any input. I will be building this motor next winter after I am based.
Thanks
Steve

Dave had a 383 and never drove it much on the street :stickpoke:

My 396 has been in the car since the summer of 2003, was daily driven until 2006. And is still running today, but only gets driven on the weekends and raced HARD.

Driving a 396 on the street will be no problem. We have built many street cars with a 396

And Weisco makes great pistons by the way..
Dave
