Default nozzle in throttle body

I seen something today and i have to ask what you all think...I seen on a ls1 car someone had tapped the the throttle body right in front of the butterfly. It looks real good but what about performance? What do you guys think ....

I;ve heard you generally want to be 6-8 inches away from the throttle body. Keeps the fuel from hitting the valve and possibly puddling.
