Im new to nitrous so forgive me if this makes no since but this seems to be what i have gathered so far.

Runing a 200 shot if its -2 degrees for each 50 that would be a total of -8. If the base timing is 34 than i would retard it to 26 total timing. I read were some people are aginst alot of timing retard stating to much can cause detenation due to exssive heat. Looking for some good imput on this so i can understand it better.

Also some state that the spark should be taken out of the rev limiter?

 

The -2 per 50hp is a very basic general rule to go off of. Once you get into the big cube motors ( Such as you have ) then the rule technically doesn't apply cause one combo will like more timing than the next. You can use the -2 per 50hp as a starting point and pair that with reading the timing mark on the strap of the plug to see if you can ad more timing ( Also knock will need to be monitored aswell )to it to get the most out of the combo. As far as the spark question I personally havn't hurd anything like that.
