for the price you might want to add a FPSS for a little extra insurance. how big of a shot do you plan on running? you might want a timing tuner or the interface to pull some timing

I was under the impression that the lean shut down switch was basically an electronic FPSS with a AFR display, also would the timing tuner be necessary with a full nitrous dynotune? Its going to be a 150 shot

sorry i didnt notice you had the dynotune switch. The added benefit of the FPSS is that it would shut off the system before it leaned out. for $50 i think its worth it just to add one more piece of insurance. Maybe dean can chime in and correct me if i am wrong but it doesnt detect what fuel pressure is like an FPSS would. Which is why i think the FPSS inconjuction with the dynotune switch would work very well, it would all but eliminate damage due to a lean condition caused by low fuel pressure.

no it wont be, but you NA power is going to be lacking.

I agree with Mike on this one. For the A/F shutdown switch to shut the system down you "MUST" be lean. The FPSS would catch it before you go lean from a pressure drop situation.

But A/F shut down will shut the system down if you are lean from having the wrong jetting but still have good fuel pressure.

The 2 items complement each other but neither eliminates the need for the other.

I would suggest adding a nitrous filter to the kit as well. This will prevent foreign particles from jamming the nitrous solenoid open. These particles can be transfered to your bottle when you go get it filled. Some places do not filter the nitrous as it is pumped into your bottle. This can introduce rust particles from inside the mother bottle into your system.

You could add a FPSS for $39
http://www.dynotunenitrous.com/store...?idproduct=135
also if you like but calling it an electronic FPSS is not even close.

It does so much more. First off how many people actually have a fuel pump fail on a run versus how many have a lean condition? From our experience a fuel pump failure mid run is extremely rare a lean condition a lot more probable as numerous things can cause this.

Did you know that you can run lean, damage your motor and your fuel pressure can still be fine? You can have good pressure but not enough fuel volume your FPSS wont help. If you have a clogged or faulty fuel solenoid the FPSS won’t help. You have a clogged fuel jet the FPSS wont help. This types of issues are a lot moe common than a fuel pump failing.

SOme of the features:
--Built in Air/ fuel ratio display (narrow and wideband)
--Built in TPS (WOT) Switch
--Peak and Min A/F memory during the run
--Multiple outputs 12V and Ground
--Multiple Trigger inputs 12V and ground
--Programmable trip points
--Adjustable delay to let lean spikes settle
