On my stock motor with a cut-out as my ONLY mod I made an extra 144 rwhp and 220 rwtq with the 5177 kit and no jets.

Around how much of a shot is running w/o any jets. To me sounds like a 175-200shot on a dry kit.

DONT DO IT
I blew my rear and my tranny on 6 runs(street runs)
You will run your fuel system lean and thats not good obviously.
Run it with the right jets dont go crazy and if you need more go wet ,or do a fuel system.

Obviously your rear and your tranny weren't up to the task. That's your fault, not the nitrous. As far as your fuel system is concerned it depends on the car, many people can run an open Powershot noid with a bolt-on car and it's fine, but at the same time many can't. My car (98 SS) needed a MAFT to get rid of some KR but worked great after that. If you try it just be sure to ATAP and make sure everything is in tune. Good luck!

i run no jets on the powershots and it works just fine. i use a LOT of nitrous as well. i added a maf-t to put the 02's back above the 9's though. Also i run stock clutch and 10 bolt on nittos and race a lot, i know it should have gave way and prolly will, but this goes to show that each car is different. Good luck--DJ

your sig says you have a pretty nice setup, and the a4 should be nicer to the 10 bolt so i say do it! Also do you just use the hppIII for the redline since you run the bottle or what? just curious.

well I don't use the bottle as much cause the car stays more in the garage but I'm just wondering if I can make a few runs with out the jets.
so if I do at what settings should my shift points
be&my rev limit be

i'm definitly not a knowledgeable A4 guy, but i would think whatever shift points and redline you were using for 125 shot would be fine for an estimated* 150 shot, but i could be way off. good luck
i would tend to think that you are going to need a way too add fuel, if not the few passes might be the same e.t.'s as the properlly fueled 125 shot, and not to mention the added stress. in the cars i have seen this seems to tip the scalesfrom safe to unsafe with the stock fuel set-up. but as said above by others, every car is different so how knows. I vote for atap on these runs though.

if you're using a powershot noid, i think this would be a little safer than a pro-shot or an NX icaman noid. i still would use the jets though. they make them far enough up that you would know the shot size your running. the only way you could convince me to run it w/o jets would be if i was using somone elses motor, w/a warranty and someone else that volunteered to do the work when it blew up. i've personally seen at least one person do this to there car, and it wasnt pretty. needless to say, after this person cried warranty, GM replaced the long block and voided the warranty completely after just 200 miles of driving the car.
