Can I ask why so many of you run the window switch to cutoff before your shift point? I'm wanting to set mine to 6500 but I'll be shifting at about 6000. I just don't want it to be spraying passed 6500 if I spin the tires.

That's the one I'm buying! *I want that free nitrous kit* I was talking to Edgar (LS1Cantu) from Xessive Motorsports and he said he was going to order that one for me. My car is one of the first LS1's he worked on. *I want that free nitrous kit!* I practically live at his shop and he's recomending you for my parts! *I want that free nitrous kit*

Don't want 600/700 rwtq shattering the gear box, and trust me it will. The turbo guys with big tq do it all the time in the Vette world, lol. Mine is still bone stock and untouched after approx 250/300 passes, so... Also if your spraying through a gear and are to slow, your rpms will skyrocket and you'll hit the limiter pulling fuel, not good, ask me how I know, lol.

if you don't power shift you will be fine. i have mine cut off at 6800 and shift at 6600. if you can speed shift i see no point in power shifting.

Good point Robert56! My tranny has never been opened either and has made well over 150 passes. I'll be setting the window switch to cutoff at about 6300 then. I know the nitrous won't be spraying if I bounce off the limiter 'cause I have it set at 6800.

This is great! These are the exact kinds of pointers I need to hear!

even if i miss a shift i am ok since my rev limiter is set at 7k. if you let off the throttle when you shift, you will not spray throught the shift. i see no point in coming off the spray after your window and then again when you shift. you are just losing et. as long as you have your window switch cut off before your rev limiter you are ok.

Wait till you miss a shift and nail the throttle, you'll hit the limiter while sparying, been there done that, and have a hole in an intake to prove it.

how if the window switch is cutting off the spray before i hit my limiter? i have been doing it this way since 01 on my Ws6 and never had a problem even when i missed a shift. something else must have gone wrong with your setup.

In my web in the wiring section is a write up on the first gear lock out that costs about $3.
Robert

So you spray 360 hit wheel or engine? I see you have 6xxhp numbers in your sig on a 408 with a 360 hit? What does your car run on that 360 hit?

Launching around 6000, have the window switch set at 3200-6200, shifting around 63-6400 depending on how slow I am, lol. Originally had 1st locked out thinking it wouldn't hook, but tried it and the car came out real hard and stayed hooked.

What are most of you guys using for a clutch? I'm going to be whacking mine with a 200 shot, going to be looking at around 550rwhp.

I'm running the Textralia OZ700. It takes those 5000+ launches like a pro.

some of you guys are freaking beasts leaving out of the hole. i spray 150wet right out of the hole, 4k-6.4k rev., limit set to 6.5k. with the slicks 6 or 6.5 rpm launches are the choice . with my hoosier drag radial defferent story, they won't hold as well. i do delay it .4 seconds and spread the shot 50% to 100%. i'm using denso iridiums it22 set at .042, i'm i asking for trouble?
