Which one do i need? Or do i need a different product all together?
i have a 5177 dry kit i want to put on my 98ta
the 2 stage allows you to control 2 separate solenoids. each solenoid is a stage.
one simple and typical situation is if you want to only spray say 75hp at 3000 rpms and have it shut off at 6000, but at 4000 rpms, you want an additional 75 hp to come on and end at 6000 rpms. so from 3000 rpms-3999 rpms, you are only spraying 75hp but once it hits 4000 rpms through 6000 rpms, you are spraying 150hp all together.
people tend to do this because a 150hp shot that starts at 3000 rpms could be too much hp and/or torque for the car to get traction so they don't want all of the 150hp to come on at once.
so for the price difference, buy the 2 stage even if you don't plan on doing a 2 stage setup. once you start upping your shot, you'll definitely find this helpful.
