Default Will a 98 Computer keep up with a dry shot?

Thinking about spraying a 50 dry shot or 75 dry shot through my SLP Maf... Will a 98 computer be able to keep up enough to supply the extra fuel? I have a 46lb injector so I have more then enough injector... Thanks in advance! I'm fairly new to the whole spraying thing on ls1s... Also what jet would you guys call a 50 shot?

With 46# injectors you be able to spray more than a 75 shot. Just make sure your fuelpump is up for it

No problem, just keep in mind nozzle position plays an important role as well.

Yep. 11250hz instead of 12500 (or 12000?) with the 99+. Mine, with the stock MAF, is VERY close to being maxed out N/A (408 stroker). The MAF doesn't max out, per say, but the computer's operating system can't deal with MAF values over 11250. Once the computer sees 11250hz, it sticks with the last airflow value in the table even if you're flowing more in.

How much are you looking to run?

Changing injectors goes a long way to running large dry shots....even on a 98

Hell I have run about 475 total rwhp on a bone stock 98 with no tuning with a dry shot.

It wil be a heads cam lq4 with a 175 shot max. I will have 60 pound injectors and a 255 inline with a 8an feed line. i hope the 255 inline will be enough

I think you should get by easily with that setup. I would do an intank over the inline though.

A stock '98 fuel system will support a 150 shot. The computer is not an issue.

I will be using the HSW Interface this summer. I'm looking forward to it. I'm replacing my Timing Tuner with the Interface.

Wait, you said LQ4. Is that a 370? 408?

I agree, you would be further ahead with an intank pump.

If I were running a dry shot setup again, I'd use one of Nitrous Outlet's Halo setups. When I was running dry, years ago, I had the nozzles mounted in the air lid.

LQ4 is the 6.0 that comes in the trucks.

I think The nx plate dry setup on the maf looks easier. I might just run an a1000. It is the only pump that isnt expensive and moves a decent amount of fuel.

I had an LQ4 block that I was building into a 408, I'm aware of their origin. Just unusual to see people actually use the stock LQ4 shortblock, when it's easy to get a 370 with an LS1 crank.
