Default Dual Stage wiring help

Alright I am running a dual stage setup using the Dynotune rpm/window switch. The first stage is dry and the second stage is wet (maybe going DP soon). I plan on having the 2nd stage locked out of 1st gear. So dry off the line, then shift and both kits going. I was looking at this diagram to use for my wiring:

What I am wondering is how this works if you are on the highway and want to light off the nitrous. Does it activate the first stage in whatever gear you are in and then wait for you to go through one rpm cycle to kick the second one on or would I have to be in 1st to use the nitrous?

Any help would be appreciated.

Correct. It counts the tach sweeps from when its activated.
