Default Nitrous Help

I am new to nitrous and I still need some help with some questions. I have a 98 ls1 camaro with stock bottom end and stock heads and cam. I would like to run a two stage with a 50 shot from 2800 to 3800 and then from there to 5100 a 100 shot. I would like to run the 100 shot in 2nd and both in 3rd and 4th. I dont know if this is dangerous or not. I am just really trying to keep my motor safe. I am going to run a nos wet shot with a plate and I need to know if the zex window switch will let me run a two stage or if it will just let me choose what rpm's to have it start and stop. I was also wondering about the nos mini 2 progressive, will that one let me do both either. Next I need to know if a purge kit is really important for safety or if its more for making sure you dont bog off the line. I would like any information about it

I also forgot to ask do I need to change my timing and if so what should i change it to and also with 100 shot will I need to change my plugs.

What you are looking to do will work. Is it pratical Im not real sure. remember the simplier you keep it the less area for mistakes.

The window switch will give you a starting RPM amnd ending RPM for each stage. You can set the unit to activate one stage at regular activation and set the second RPM to activate at a certain Gear if you would like. This may come closest to what you are looking to do.

The NOS progressive will let you give it a starting percentage to a ending percentage with in X amount of time. This is called a time base ramp.

If you plan on going with a windowswitch I would suggest this one over the ZEX. It has the same features as the Zex exept for it has a built in TPS activation and cheaper.

The purge system is needed for more than producing a cool show for your buddies. A purge kit is needed to evacuate the air from the main feed line. This will eliminate the system from bogging the engine due to the fuel hitting before the nitrous, causing the engine to go rich upon the initial hit. By purging the air from the main feed line you will improve 60-foot times and have a harder hitting nitrous system. The purge kit can also be used to purge down excessive bottle pressure.
