Default NOOB with nitrous safty questions

Ok I'm looking at getting a wet kit for my car but the questions at hand right now is in regards to a friends car.

He has a LT1 with a wet plate kit on a bone stock motor and drivetrain (M6 car) he's running a 150 shot.

He needs to stop miss shifting but he has had major nitrous backfire from the miss shifts of corse....
What all should he get to help prevent this other than granny shifting so he knows he's in gear lol.

Just by using a window switch like this? Will this help with his driving error?

That's what you need. Every car with nitrous should have a window switch. Especially if you have a manual. Its cheap insurance. Whole lot cheaper than fixin the car after a big backfire.

If its the same as the MSD WS (it probably is) its not bad. Nitro Daves will help you out if you need help with how to wire it. There's also some wiring diagrams in the sticky if you want to look through it as well.
