Default help with electric gauge

hooked up my guage this morning. put the sending unit in the main feed line. the electric gauge read 713 (cold bottle), while the manual gauge on the bottle read 590ish.

is this normal? where should I hook the sending unit up to? replaced the manual gauge?

Thanks, Eric

Is there a way to calibrate your electric gauge? In my experience, if there's a 100+ psi difference, I would go with the manual gauge being more accurate.

What brand gauge is it? Just wondering as I have a mechanical autometer right now, and I figured maybe the way I'm setup wouldn't fly so I was looking at getting the electrical one.

A mechanical gauge can easily be off 50psi or more. Our electric gauges are accurate to 1 PSI. How do you have the sending unit hooked up? Is the bottle full and whats the temp where the car is located? If you want to give us a ring on Tuesday we will be glad to help you out. Or post here as I check LS1 tech when I can on the weekends. Monday is a holiday in Mass.

bottle is full. temp was about 50ish out. The sending unit is hooked up the line in a conector that came with the bottle heater. I figured the digital gauge would be more accurate, but I didnt expect that big of a difference. just wondered if this was normal.
