The problem is that these budget kits don't come with some needed safety accessories. Bottle heater, window switch, FPSS, Blowdown tube, purge. While these kits are awesome (especially the HSW kit) your $400 price cap is unreasonable for a new kit.

Not many kits do come with these things maybe the blow down tube but everything else listed is always an add on. 400 dollars will get you started but soon you will come to have over 1000 in your kit.

Another thing to add is that the HSW dry kit only comes with one solenoid. If it gets stuck, bad times. The NOS dry kit comes with two, so if a solenoid sticks open then there is a backup. Nitous solenoids cost $90 or so.
Still, at $300 its a friggin' STEAL and I've heard good things about it.

You could always just order an extra NO2 noid from HSW if you really feel the need to add a redundant noid, would still not be an expensive setup.

I run the HSW stuff, and have installed it on a couple local vehicles....nothing but satisfied customers.

I've never even thought about running redundant noids. I look at it as one more thing to malfunction at the track.

Now you know I've cursed myself. I'll be in here next week talking about my noid failure, and upcoming 408 purchase after my 346 lets go.

There is nothing wrong with putting together a system with the budget you have to work with. Do not cheat yourself while doing so. Put a reliable product and the needed safety products on the car. If you can not afford to do it right you surely can not afford to put a motor in the car....

Check out our Brand X line. Its cost affective and I personally had the solenoids built to my specs and tested the crap out of them........ The Brand X line is designed for the guys on a budget but still want a quality product...

Well they are only 299 right now and while the price is low the quality is not. I had the solenoid custom built to my specs and the work under pressure and temperature.
