Going to the track this weekend; advice appreciated
Now we got the a/f dialed in to 11.5:1 on the spray. Now we set this up for a 100 shot. I only sprayed the car once on the street/highway...um i mean closed course... and the car pulled very hard. Now I know when I get to the track I am going to possibly want to jet up.
We took out 5 deg. timing for the 100 shot that we tuned the car for. Is it safe to say the 2 deg. per 50 HP would be safe to run if I decided to jet up? I am running BR7ES (pretty sure I got it right) and have them gapped at .032 so I am assuming my plugs should be ok. I also know my fuel system is sufficient.
Any other advise you guys can give if I decide to jet up?
I would data log all your passes and watch the AF but if you are sure everything is good with the fuel side and you know what jets your setup likes or you know it will be a little richer when you go up go for 125 or 150.
You would be smart to up the octane a bit over what you had in the car when u tuned it, if you had 93 in it add 50% + of 100 b4 you go to the track.
