Default Possible bad nitrous fill?

Is it normal for a bottle to be at 600-700psi and have over 30 seconds of gas left in it that is nothing but clear air? Or did I get a bad fill. The fill was done with a compressor and the bottle was at room temp.

perhaps...i usually hold the bottle in my right arm/elbow, nozzel facing down\away and slowly crack her open to get the excess out

is the "air" coming out cold? Another way is to simply weigh it

hope that hopes

It wasn't cold at all till the very very end of the bottle, then the fitting where it was draining out of frosted over but only for a short period of time. I had the bottle in the correct position label side up fitting side down and tilted up.

nope I got about (4) 10 second 100 shots out of it with a couple purges. After that you could hear it purge but it was just air, so I disconnected the bottle and there was so much air left in it. Didn't feel any lighter after all the air was out.

After the bottle was filled it's pressure was 900psi but it was pretty cold, so that seems ok.

Next time I get it filled I'll weigh it before I spray anything and see if there's actually 10lbs added to it.

Guy that fille my bottles (probably be doing it myself next year if I have anything to say about it) puts the bottle on a scale and I watch it get filled until the scale reads 25 bs (weight of the line hookup is about a lb, I tested that theory myself)

Be kinda hard to not get a fill that way... just watch the guy do it. Then, after you've watched how easy it is, then you'll ask yourself why you're paying 5 bucks a lb or whatever for something you can buy from a local gas company for probably 2 bucks a lb.

Do you have a bottle heater being used with the system?

Not yet, I plan on getting one soon. But I had let the bottle warm up overnight to get to that 700psi when there was just air left in it.

I chilled the bottle before I brought it in this time (the place is only 2-3 miles away) and it's 10.4lbs heavier with the nitrous fill, it felt heavier this time.

i just had my bottle filled with the pump at room temp i got the same results you got. i normally get it filled at a different place where they freeze the bottle for 3hrs. it seems to me like i get more nitrous.
