Default Sparkplug question....

What is the best plugs and wires to go with? I usually dont run anything more then a 100 shot. I have been using stock plugs and wires with a small shot but i dont want to use them anymore till i upgrade? Can anyone give me the best tips what to get for using nitrous?

Personally, i use TR-6's gapped at .034 for a 125 shot. for every 25 hp of juice you can decrease the gap by about .005 so it doesnt blow out. as for wires, the stockers suck!!! id definetely go with a nice set of msd 8.5's for like 60 bucks. theyre much better, and they look nicer too.

AsianIce25, what kinda times you run on the juice? Curious as to why you would say the stock wires suck.. I have been blowing over 150hp shots and lots of bottles worth of 150s and on and on, and the only problem i ever had with a wire os pulling the boot apart during a cam change do to wrong grip on the wire! Conductivity wise, they are just as superior to any other high performance wire, could be a tad better insulated but never met a wire yet that likes laying on a set of primary tubes.

With that said, TR6 @ .038 and stock wires!

I'm curious about that too. In three F-bodies, one 'Vette, and a Surburban, I've never had a single problem with the stock wires. They're so short that it doesn't matter much if they're state of the art or not.

The stock plugs have GREAT heat shielding, FWIW.

check the resistance in your stock wires next to a 8.5 MSD youll see why they not so much such but the MSD's are better..
