Climbing mountains. Eating granola bars, and listening to Nirvana cover bands.

Bring a rain coat.

We have several car clubs that work in this area, Depending on the car you drive depends on the club. Since by your name I can say you have a 89 blue Iroc I would suggest either PNWCC (my club), Northwest Fbodies (which most of the guys on here belong to) or Cascade crew (which is strickly 3rd gens)
we also have two drag race tracks that are open from about Feb to nov, (some times not open until march or april.)

Also Several car shows through out the year, some back to back weekends you never have time to do them all

Cruises, parties, drinking, that kind of stuff.

The road course up at PR is open Not to the public but to clubs, who rent out the track for track time, In July there is a weekend called Sovern & clubs can go up there pay their entry fees ($35 per day or $50 for the weekend I think) & do a couple laps during lunch of the road races.

If you really want to get into the lapping check out www.proformanceracingschool.com and sign up for their high performance driving clinic. Their 2009 schedule isn't posted yet, but they should start having the new driver clinics in Feb or March. I have a friend who just bought a C5 Z51 and is looking forward to taking his car as well.

Once you have completed their clinic you can come back for advanced lapping days. I try to make 2-3 days a year to keep the skills sharp.

There is pretty good snow boarding/skiing around here. Hiking, fishing, hunting. Some of the greastest food is up in Seattle area. I hear they have some good Concerts down your way.. Check with your MWR Rep. If you guys have one. I am Navy, so it might be different for you guys.

You'd have to take a day of leave. That's what most of us do, and another reason we don't do it too often.

You ever participated in road racing? If you can swing it, go for it. I've spent my fair share of time trackside at the road courses. I hope to get into it someday when funds allow for it. Just get out yer checkbook and make friends with the tire and brake man.

Correct.

Evergreen has a nice grass roots drifting organization with a lot of events to attend if you're into that. TBH, I wouldn't mind picking up one of those little imports for a toy.

Looks like they're done for the season but if you check the actual track schedule that's more indicitive of what's available. They also have 1/8 drags but I would recommend sticking to Pacific Raceways or Bremerton first.
